Mauricio is the Managing Partner of the firm. He leads the Tax practice group of the firm and he has more than 35 years of professional experience. He is an external general counsel for several local and multinational companies in tax matters, and also handles tax and estate planning matters for individuals and family groups. He has advised companies in the energy, gas, financial, media and print, public utilities, telecommunications, infrastructure, technology, beverages, transport, mining, real estate, security and pharmaceutical sectors, specifically in matters relating to corporate taxes, investigations, litigation, tax aspects related to mergers and acquisitions transactions, private equity investments, financial transactions, project financing, foreign investments in Colombia and Colombian investments abroad. He teaches several Tax Law subjects at Universidad del Rosario, Universidad de los Andes, and Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia. He has been Alternate Judge (Conjuez) to The Colombian Constitutional Court since 2018.
