Gómez-Pinzón acted as legal counsel to the Colombian company Valorem S.A. in the negotiation of the capitalization agreement executed with Koba International Group S.A., the holding company of Koba Colombia S.A.S., a Colombian company which owns the only chain of hard discount stores in Colombia called “D1”. By means of this acquisition, Valorem S.A. (through its subsidiary Hercules Enterprises Inc.) became the majority shareholder of Koba International Group S.A. by acquiring a 20% stake in the company.
