As announced by the Colombian Central Bank, as of October 4, 2023, the Exchange Statistical System (“SEC”, as per its acronym in Spanish) will cease to operate and will be replaced by the Exchange Information System (“SIC”, as per its acronym in Spanish). Therefore, holders of compensation accounts must log-in in the SIC for the transmission to the Colombian Central Bank, of information with regard to such accounts.
For such purposes, the individual or legal representative of the entity holder of compensation accounts, must register as a user in the SIC. If the holder of the compensation account already has a user in the SIC for the transmission of information on international investments, it will not be necessary to make a new registration.
