Bogotá, June 8, 2020 – As part of its commitment to implement policies that guarantee gender equality with social and cultural impact, Gómez-Pinzón Abogados has decided to extend the extralegal paternity leave , granting its collaborators 20 additional business days to those established in the Substantive Labor Code .

This benefit, applied as an official policy of the Firm, has the objective of balancing the participation of both parents in the care of their children , maintaining a life-work balance.

The extension of paternity leave is aligned with the Gender Parity Initiative , promoted by the Ministry of Labor in partnership with the Inter-American Development Bank – IDB and the World Economic Forum, and It is complemented with other extra-legal benefits already existing in the Firm to meet these needs, such as extended maternity leave of 30 calendar days in addition to those granted by law, as well as by a policy flex-time and the flexibility of the regular working hours. With these actions, Gómez-Pinzón remains at the forefront in the application of gender equality policies among law firms in Colombia.
