Catalina has over 15 years of experience as in-house and firm lawyer, leading legal departments, advising local and foreign clients mainly in the financial and energy sectors in domestic and international corporate finance transactions and financing projects, including corporate loans, bridge loans, syndicated financing, acquisition financing, aircraft financing and bond issuances under rule 144A. A Law graduate from Universidad de Los Andes, she holds a postgraduate degree in Commercial Law from Universidad del Rosario. As the recipient of a full excellence scholarship granted by the European Commission, she was awarded a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in Transnational Trade Law and Finance by University of Deusto, Tilburg University and Institute for Law and Finance at the Goëthe Universität in Frankfurt.
