he Ministry of Labor has declared that it will exercise the preferential power to all the procedures filed before the Territorial Divisions, and Special Offices, related to the authorizations for the temporary suspension of activities for up to 120 days, and authorizations collective dismissals because of the total or partial closure of work, permanently or temporarily. This implies that the Special Investigations Unit will be in charge of supervising each of the requests, carrying out stricter control, protecting workers, boosting the economy and employment and supporting jobs, and incomes of citizens who may be affected by the measures that their employers adopt regarding COVID-19.
